You can make a happy cake.

All week we read a big book called 'The fantastic cake.' As a treat, we made our own cake. It is called a happy cake. It is based on a Junior reader.

Now you too can make your own happy cake.

Melt 100g of margerine/butter in the microwave.

Add: 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence, 1 cup of sugar and mix well.

Next add: 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/4 cup of cocoa and mix well again.

Pour into a 20cm dish and microwave for 5-7mins on high. Cool a little in the dish.

Cut out face shapes and place place them on the cake. Sprinkle with icing sugar. Remove paper carefully.

Admire and eat the cake.

  2. The cake was delicious and Whaea Corinna thought so too. Thanks for asking. In fact, I had two pieces. Hello Room 9 ! Wow these latest photos are great and show just how busy you were last Friday. You made crowns to wear as you were princesses and princes because it was Queens Birthday weekend. The photo of the fish artwork is great and will look fantastic when it is hung in the hall. And what a great photo of the Happy Cake. It makes me hungry again. Have a great week. From Mr Fitzgerald
